She was born in Santa Monica California, the United States of America on the 26th of November in 1986. She is the daughter of her father Vincenzo Barba and mother Valerie Barba. Her family relocated to Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was six years old. After moving to New Jersey, she finished her education at Red Bank Catholic High School. Her education continued in Catholic University where she earned an undergraduate degree in architecture. Since the age of four, she has been a violinist"Violingirl" was her name. Her performances led to being called Violin Girl. She also taught kids from within the community playing the violin. She sang Free throughout 1976 when she made her audition for the sixth season of American Idol at age 19. She was eventually eliminated when she was ranked 16th on American Idol. The singer has performed a variety of songs, such as 2009's "The Christmas Song" and the 2010's Out for Blood. Additionally she has appeared on some television shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
